The Imo State IPID Piggery Farm Project began in 2022 with just 10 pigs and a bold vision—to empower youth and support community development through agriculture. Today, that vision has become a thriving reality. The farm now produces over 200 pigs annually and generates more than ₦15 million in revenue each year.
This growth has created meaningful job opportunities for local youth, equipping them with practical skills in animal husbandry and agribusiness. The income from the farm not only supports those directly employed but also helps fund IPID’s broader mission, including health programs, youth awareness campaigns, and educational outreach.
The success of this project is a testament to the power of grassroots development. As we look to the future, we aim to expand this model across Southeastern Nigeria—empowering more youth, supporting communities, and building a stronger, self-sustaining region.
